MILPITAS – A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the shooting death of a woman in Milpitas last weekend, police said.

The Milpitas Police Department on Monday identified the suspect as Kevin James Gitmed, 35, of Gilroy.

The shooting was reported at the Hilton Garden Inn on Ranch Drive about 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to find Causandra Inocencio, 40, of San Jose, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Police said Gitmed and Inocencio knew each other.
